Your support and advocacy are central to our mutual success as The University of Arizona College of Medicine enters its 41st year.

Your professional standards and accomplishments reflect well on the promise of four decades of Arizona medical education. You bring hope and inspiration to the most recent class, the Class of 2012, that their work to serve humanity through their education, research and care of patients will enrich the lives of those they serve.

In addition to your own accomplishments as a physician, educator, scientist or mentor you can be proud of your College of Medicine for any number of the following reasons:

  • Your private gift support to the College of Medicine increased from $5.5 million to $12 million this year ($28 million, counting the Centers of Excellence!). And we have reached $14 million in endowed scholarships and 28 endowed chairs across the College.
  • The College of Medicine – Phoenix admitted its second class, 48 students, to join the initial class of 24 and is flourishing, thanks to a dedicated faculty, broad governmental support and citizen advocacy across the state. The Tucson campus admitted another full complement of 110 students.
  • University Medical Center continues by all measures to rank among America’s top hospitals and, under the leadership of University Physicians Healthcare, our UPH Hospital campus just opened two new medical residency programs.
  • Hispanic Business Magazine recently ranked the College ninth best among Colleges of Medicine nationally – up from a rank of 11th last year.
